Installation of the basic tools for Bluetooth connectivity, open Terminal and type in one line:
sudo apt-get install nautilus-sendto bluetooth bluez-gnome gnome-bluetooth
connect the adapter to a USB port on your computer and make the following compatibility testing, one line in Terminal by typing: hcitool scan
after the monitoring will be short listed compatible devices within range, highlighting the mac-address and the name assigned.
so that the two devices communicate, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both.
Data Exchange
to send a file from your computer to the device in question, click on it with the right mouse button, click Send To menu ... in the window click Send as: Bluetooth (OBEX push) and select the name of the device, finally, to confirm Send;
to receive files from the device, instead, select the menu Applications> Accessories voice Bluetooth file sharing, at this point the system is enabled to receive data, all that remains is to send the file from the device.
